Pastor Shelby and Kathie Lanier

Shelby Lanier
is the Children’s Pastor here at Sheridan Forest. Affectionately
known as “Uncle Shelby”, he has spent a lifetime of service in
children’s ministries, as well as working extensively with men and boys
in the Royal Rangers and Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship. Uncle Shelby
has held crusades with over 1,000 children, regularly maintained 600
children each week in his Children’s Church and led a Royal Ranger
program with 250 boys.
His wife Kathie,
known by the children as "Aunt Kathie" , works along side Uncle Shelby
every Sunday. Her interests include music and drama, and she has
led both youth and children's productions and choirs. Kathie has
also taught music lessons for many years.
Uncle Shelby and Aunt Kathie have left retirement to work with the
children and youth of Sheridan Forest. On Sunday mornings, they
offer a well rounded service just for kids. Some of our activities
include music, Bible stories, prayer time, Scripture memory, character
building and games. On Wednesday nights, we have classes for kids
of every age. Your children are sure to be blessed by the
enthusiasm and exciting Bible teaching that Uncle Shelby and Aunt Kathie
bring to the next great generation of leaders in the church. Bring
your kids and join us each Sunday and Wednesday night at Sheridan Forest
Worship Center.
